TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Masked Mayhem Turn 2
Kolact staggered out of Turn 1047 bloodied, noisier, and very much changed. The mayhem
lived up to its name, with misdirection, savage challenges, and an alarming pile of
corpses littering the sands. I expected as much last turn, but you must have sensed my
disappointment and stepped up.
The spotlight burned brightest on the Duelmaster, where Bialar Crais once again proved
unmoveable. Not in the contest, Farscape has been standing tall since it began. Kaizar
of the Praetorian Guard boldly challenged for the title. The results were terminal.
Kaizar was killed by our reigning champ and newly minted Lord Protector, ending a long
and accomplished career. Kolact now knows our champ guards the throne with steel and
finality.
Shewish Bakery wore the crown of avoidance. Opponents clearly preferred softer,
gentler bread. This bakery serves pain, not pastries. Phoenix Guard must be watching
their figure as they were the most eager to stay away from OAB's squad. Caution is
certainly wise, but in our contest it also invites gossip and innuendo. Shmax is the
most challenged. Whether he was hunted for glory or strategy, he was the center of
attention. He survived to fight another day, so that can be counted as a success
because others did not.
This was a grim turn, even by Kolact standards. Among the fallen were the
aforementioned Kaizar, who died in the title fight. Kismet was butchered by Big Green
Egg. You can also add Amelia Dyer, Giggling Nanny, Sapphire, Oysters Rockefeller, and
many more to the list. Dark Arena deaths, bloodfeuds, assassinations, and outright
executions piled up until the lists of the dead rivaled the lists of the victors.
Revenge clauses now hang heavy over future turns.
Kolact will not soon forget Turn 1047. Champs fell, killers rose, and fear dictated
more decisions than courage. The masks remain, but the bloodstains do not lie.

*Scoring Note - There was an error with scoring the last turn. I believe I have fixed

I doubt KOLACT will ever be the same. It seems the training can make the difference,
as PRAETORIAN GUARD is pushed out of top team by YUPPIE COOKOUT, who came from 2nd
with a 4-1-1 this turn. I want to know who's buying the drinks for who tonight at
Don Corleone's, seeing as PHOENIX GUARD's 9-24-0 has earned them 5th place in the
ranks. PRAETORIAN GUARD must be either in pain, or numb, having dropped from 1st to
16th this turn, with a 0-4-0 acting as the weight. Now, what did these guys have for
breakfast this morning? THE HOLY LEGION has turned a 4-1-1 into 19th place from
30th. Give me the recipe! The MISFIT TOYS 2425 guild has had a 4-1-2 turn and
deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can
lead. Our condolences go out to one of KOLACT's new teams, UGOTAB KITTEN ME, who
unfortunately went 1-4-0. Don't worry, things have got to get better. And let's
see, CHRIMSON fought BREUSE SANS PITE and gained 25 points and contributed to THE
HOLY LEGION's 4-1-1. BREUSE SANS PITE has lost to CHRIMSON, falling 23 points, while
helping make ROGUES GALLERY a 0-2-0 turn. KAIZAR challenged for the Duelmastership
this turn, attempting to dethrone FARSCAPE's warrior. Defending his title for
another turn, BIALAR CRAIS kept PRAETORIAN GUARD's warrior, KAIZAR, from claiming the
throne. By the way, was that our Duelmaster that I saw last night, cramped under the
table at Don Corleone's?
Oriental wise man once say, 'Hiding behind shields prevents proper sun tanning.'
Inscrutable, but true. I also notice that the SHEWISH BAKERY stable was the most
avoided team this turn. Come on KOLACT, what are you afraid of? And guess who
avoided SHEWISH BAKERY stable the most? Believe it or not, it was PHOENIX GUARD.
Anyone surprised? Well, sports fans, take notice that SHMAX from PHILANTHROGENTS 7
was KOLACT's most challenged warrior this turn. I don't know about you, but BEAR
CLAW challenging down 23 points to BRAIN SALAD SURGERY's SOUL OF STONE, is not really
worthy of SHEWISH BAKERY. We're not surprised to hear that BEAR CLAW beat SOUL OF
STONE, but I bet it would be interesting to hear why SHEWISH BAKERY made such a
challenge. Well now, what do you expect when someone like BODY BAGUETTE from SHEWISH
BAKERY challenges down 16 points to fight TENRIK IRONJAW of TENACIOUS? I thought
challenges were for warriors, not cowards looking for easy wins. BODY BAGUETTE
bested TENRIK IRONJAW, is nothing sacred? In a brave attempt, KAMODA JOE from YUPPIE
COOKOUT challenged up 22 points to fight SELENA from the THE MOONDOGS stable. KAMODA
JOE perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he overcame SELENA and ended up with 87
recognition points.
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? Hearty mugs of ale were raised in KOLACT today as KAIZAR was bid
farewell to a 20-10-3 warrior, with BIALAR CRAIS of FARSCAPE standing silent and
pensive. THE RAZOR'S EDGE has lost SAPPHIRE to the arena in the sky, but they don't
seem to be worried. What do you expect from 5-5-0? YUPPIE COOKOUT, with any luck
CRUEL INTENTIONS will successfully bloodfeud BIG GREEN EGG for killing such a warrior
as KISMET. Have a little decency, will ya? Congratulations go out to FARSCAPE, with
BIALAR CRAIS revenging a bloodfeud against KAIZAR of PRAETORIAN GUARD. Is it really
true that KOLACT has more dishwashers per capita that fighters? Just thought I'd
ask...
