SPY REPORT
Listen closely, oh sand-soaked truth seekers, because Blix has peeled back the heavens
this turn and discovered something deeply troubling. The moon is not real. That pale
liar hanging over Aradi is clearly a painted disc, wheeled across the sky by unpaid
goblins. I know this because on nights when the moon is "full," warriors fight worse.
Coincidence? The moon wants you weak. Now, onto the arena, which at least has the
decency to bleed honestly.
First, the crown. Anja has seized the Duelmaster's throne after Calm Anemone failed to
show, proving once again that titles, like celestial bodies, vanish when you stop
believing in them. Anja crushed Warfour in a brutally one-sided title match and now
stands undefeated at 6-0, shining brighter than the fake moon ever could.
The sands themselves whisper one name this turn: Tinfoil Mafia. Yes, yes, I hear you
laughing, but who else would understand the truth about the sky? They sit atop the
team rankings this turn, scrapping their way to an 8-7 record over the last three
turns. Shadowloop, despite losing to Grew Some Yuppie, remains the people's champion,
which tells me the crowd senses hidden knowledge in that helmet.
Speaking of Grew Some Yuppie, the unchartered terror from Paper Tigers 25.4 continues
undefeated. Six wins. Zero losses, and not a shred of mercy. Paper Tigers also boast
the best career record in the arena right now, which is suspicious. Success like that
usually means either talent... or moon-backed sorcery.
Temere Nomen had themselves a delightful week of carnage. Luposabre reduced Badger to
a cautionary tale in under a minute, while Rain Mistress drowned Coldy in a fast,
furious scrap. If momentum were measurable, theirs would be bending light. Or at least
bending my remaining sanity.
Deaths? Oh yes. Trustworthy Scribe learned that literacy offers no protection from
Man's Laughter on the sands. One novice duel later, and the sands drank deep.
Remember! The arena does not reward trust, only paranoia.
I must go now. I have charts to redraw and telescopes to dismantle. Watch the skies
and trust no reflections. Ask yourself, if the moon were real, why doesn't it fight
