Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly NIANIA games. Warriors--remember that glory waits
always around the corner! Witness how this week HARLEQUINS went 2-2-0 to move up 3
in the rankings. Did only my eyes note the 3-1-0 record which THE WILD CARDS managed
to post this round? I don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers! POWNDA
caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as it skillfully bested
KHALHUMS DWARF and was awarded 20 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, CONVICTED ASSASSIN put down BULLETPRUF MONK, causing it to lose 14
points of recognition in the process. Unwilling to wait upon the will of others,
Duelmaster BLOODBATH Dark Arena Challenged BLACK ORC last week in a match to decide
the fate of the throne. The crowds were amazed this turn, as BLACK ORC killed the
Duelmaster, BLOODBATH, leaving IN COLD BLOOD in mourning. With bloody hand COMEDY
has ascended to the throne of champions. Is he that one which is spoken of in the
ancient texts? Would you believe that over half of the old women in NIANIA seem to
feel that they could fight better than you gladiators?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city NIANIA. NIANIA, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names of thy
guilds is AB-NORMALS, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly duels. If
you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any of IN COLD
BLOOD last week. Busy avoiding AB-NORMALS? Loose talk at the arena has reached my
ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after RUSALKA. Watch
your back! I can not but mention with disdain the name of WIESENHIEMER who this week
posted a challenge to a warrior a full 10 points below in the rankings. I thought
WIESENHIEMER showed great skill and promise when he defeated NOT ABNORMAL. All
right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune
but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
