Face to Face Report

Hey, I'd make comments, but I wasn't in Orlando for the tourney and I never got any good dirt to spread around. So how 'bout I just give you the facts and leave it at that? Probably better that way, eh? -- The Saint

Gateway: 181 warriors, 7.26%. Furious Impaler and Goldilocks went head to head in round eighteen. Furious stabbed the golden-haired child for three minutes before she finally gave up and conceded defeat. Furious got through without a single defeat, which I'm sure warmed Papa Bear's heart. He never did like Goldilocks anyway.

Primus: 142 warriors, 5.70%. In round nineteen, Dr. Who (16-2) fought Burrito Mussolini (16-2). The crowd was on the edge of their collective seats to see whose bubble would burst. Well, after three minutes, Dr. Who brought out the salsa and Burrito was subdued. Congrats to Moriarty on managing the Doctor to victory.

Eligibles: 137 warriors, 5.50%. This tourney was eligible for seventeen rounds.... The final fight was between Shadow Mist and Angel. These two fought for four minutes before Angel decided enough was enough and surrendered. Sceptre bought a round foaming mugs for everyone.

ADM: 214 warriors, 8.59%. Two highly unnatural warriors met in round eighteen to decide the championship in this tourney. Salty and Bald Beaver both went into the fight with two losses, making it another tense fight. In the end, the Beaver just couldn't handle the salt. I'm told Father was handing out slices of spam in celebration. I suspect the previous foaming mugs were rather more popular.

Freshmen: 129 warriors, 5.18%. Round sixteen rolled around and Deshain had to take on Responsibilty. Deshain just wasn't up to it, leaving the award for TUM's Post-Pubescent warrior.

Champions: 262 warriors, 10.51%. In another round sixteen final battle, Amax faced Bean Nighe. Amax, having the simpler name, triumphed. This greatly relieved the announcers. Of course, Hoffa has pretty pleased himself.

Adepts: 191 warriors, 7.66%. Asphalt Aster paved over Tumbleweed in round eighteen. So tell me, AA, are you a mystic orc or are you a feast for same? Or a mystic feast for ordinary orcs? Inquiring minds want to know. Slugbait, do let me know.

Initiates: 277 warriors, 11.12%. Oh, I love it when this happens! F-Blackshadow versus Lllearman in round eighteen...both warriors managed by the Greek Guy. Oh, the agony! Congratulations to TGG and F-Blackshadow.

Apprentices: 246 warriors, 9.87%. The Luck O' Irish wasn't so lucky in round fifteen...Meaghan batted her eyes and the fight was all hers. Never understimate the power of a woman.... I'm sure Father will try to take the credit, but I say give it to Meaghan.

Novices: 187 warriors, 7.50%. Fifteen rounds here too. Mephisto met Bloodletter and did a little shedding of blood himself. Well done to both these evil dudes, with LHI edging out Hanibal to get that championship.

Rookies: 526 warriors, 21.11%. This was the longest tourney, in more ways than one. Of course, it's always packed and the fights take forever, but they went on for nineteen rounds, as well. The final fight was a quick one between Strafe and The Willbury. Strafe went whick-whack and the fight was his. Doc Steele primed his warrior well. On a side note, another hearty well done goes to Eric the Red, who managed his warrior Murphy into the matchoffs. This was his first managing experience, and a better way to start I can't think!
