I've been thinking lately about different ideas for new TC prizes. What do you all think about a potion that would guarentee a stat train 100%? I would think something like 3 of these per TC would be about right.
I think this would be neat in many ways. If you want to bust out a guy in ADM, it would give you an edge, but nothing crazy.
If you have a basic warrior with a lower WL that comes back with Little damage, he's no longer useless if he doesn't train out of Little damage after a ST train. Now, you could pop a potion or two on him, and not kill 4-5 turns hoping to train ST and get the bump.
I think it would make for some interesting low WL design warriors who could use the potion in basic.
Just an idea, and I am certainly open to suggestions on how this idea could be improved.

Thats a nice one.
I also thoght of a few awhile back.
What about a skill swap prize? The ability to swap skills from one skill set to another.
So if you have that crazy parry favorite striker you can swap it with decise.
I don't think that would be a very overbalanced prize, its not going out of bounds but it could be extremely usefull. |

Wasn't this prize given once a long time ago? |

I think it was just a plus trains prize (like 5 free trains or something) I don't think it was that popular. It lead to Cosmic Hammer and his +15 Con trains in the Apprentices tourney or something. This is a little more watered down version of it that might be more palatable to RSI.
Not sure I'm a big fan of it, I'm not sure it's strong enough for micro-managers and it's no big loss for most megas to just retire a warrior who misses his trains. I'm sure I could find a use for it if it were a prize though. |

i think its a pretty good idea. IMO tc prizes should be useful and nice but not overpowering such as they twist the rules of the game. |

Tend to feel like Managerr. |

So, are there any tweaks to this idea that would make it better?
Also, not sure if this is possible from a programming standpoint, but what about a TC prize where your warrior becomes a master against one style. As an example, if you chose AB as your style, your warrior would get something like +2 in each skill area when facing that class. Would sure mix up things in the top end, and my Strikers in basic could sure use it against all the PRs....not that it would help too much.
Just another idea.

I'd love to give this to Sebastian. He would probably never legitimately lose another fight again. (Except against another AB that put the same prize on.) |
