Peruse the forum from time to time.
Perhaps a suitable way to test the viability of significant game changes would be through a "parallel" tounament or ADM.
In the "parallel" tourney or ADM arena, limited game changes would be applied to the program.
(Perhaps un-nerfing parry)
The "original" tourney or ADM arena would remain unchanged.
Players would be free to go to one or the other.
They would vote with their feet (dollars...).
If enough players move to the "changed" tourney or arena, RSI would be wise to implement such a change throughout the whole game.
Just a thought.

Yeah I thought about this at the FtF, they could certain tourney classes double or something...

Im generally all for tweaks etc. with the intent of balancing and/or enhancing the tourney experience, but not a real fan of this suggestion for a couple of reasons. The main one being that it just seems like a very roundabout way to do something that a simple raise-of-hands could do just as well (assuming that this would have to be done at a FTF). Just a lot of extra work and a few added complications.
E.g. Whats to stop the megas from simply sending their STs to the regular tournament and their TPs to the enhanced one (if parry was un-nerfed)? Would both tournaments generate prizes? What if I run in the tweaked one, but realize I dont really like the changes? Have I already "cast my vote" then?
If the intent was to involve the playerbase in the decision process however (which has been the bane of many an MMO for what its worth) a spin on the original suggestion would be to use tournaments to test tweaks to the code though. Run all warriors through both sets of code. Let the current one be the official, distributed and prize generating one, but publish the newsletter for the tweaked one and let managers go through the results and vote on whether to deploy the updated changes or not. Heck, in the interest of letting people "vote with their feet", give us one vote per warrior run. That way those that spend the most have the most say.

The best place to test code changes would be at demo tourneys.
Just have an accelerated turn rate and you can easily get guys into the 50 FE range in a weekend. If you could push the turns even harder you could get up to 75 FE guys....
