For those of us getting back to the game, what is TOGS?

Okay, is this contest purely for ads, or is there a fighting aspect to it. I never was that good at ads or storylines, so I doubt I would be in it.

**You have to perform in the arena also, but spots and PA's play an important part in the scoring

Like Ultraist said it involves both fighting in the arena and writing for points. You get or loose points for writing spotlights for each round of the TOGS which have to meet a certain length and have to pertain to DM (even if it involves managers sodomizing farm animals). You also have to write at least 1 PA every turn. TOGS is a team based event so you have a partner that can either keep you in it or bring you down.

TOGS 2 was actually a 3 manager per team contest, which might I add, Destitute Noble, Wimpy & myself won. As far as I know there hasn't been a single manager who has won the TOGS more then once and it has been run 4 times now.

Probably depends on who runs it. Usually a Fonzite will step to the plate, as this. The likelihood is that The Crazy Creepster will be out of the hospital (Sanatarium) and looking for a partner in this potentially toughest of all arenas.

The competition is very, very demanding in the arena, and the writing is the most enjoyable in all Alastari. (Albeit often extremely off-color!)

Hmm...perhaps it is time for me to dust off the old team there and do some pre-TOGS housekeeping. Last time I did zero prep'ing for TOGS and it showed. Crying or Very sad

My team in there was left at a pretty formidable level, and 2 of the warriors ran 7-3 and 5-3 in their last tourneys (both mistimed by 3 and 4 fights). Unfortunately my partner last time quit on me, and DM, in the midst of the contest, though we were poised to finish middle pack at best. Hoping to find a decent partner who will stick it out and right their spots 'cause my teams raring to run top 3 Cool

Okay, then I'll be game when the contest comes around. Just have to figure out how to write personals and spotlights again...

Just wondering, doesn't RSI get tired of the cost of paper? I haven't seen any forests around Phoenix. They have to get their paper from the north rim country...

Certainly they "put up" (very well, actually) with the massive input verification and output - they like the extra $$$ that the engorged Aradi brings in!
