I'm still waiting for my mini overviews before deciding who to fight but will be fun to be back playing again. Now I just need to see if I can get some of the other old Frothingsloshers to return!

I suggest that you start back in DM93 - which is an arena designed for newbies and returnees-from-long-ago. D2 mentors play along with those-wanting -to-learn giving advice and posting information to help. A manager's time there is only for 10 turns, then he moves that team to an arena of his selection. (Advice on choosing that arena is also available.)
Welcome back. We have father/son, father/daughter combos playing nowadays in Duelmasters.

Good morning folks!
I am happy to be starting this journey, I have just signed up and super excited to join. Taking my time, and am very anti-social but excited to be a part of the community and watch as my warriors are crushed by others experience.
My dad played this with his friends when I was a kid and I remember the colored envelopes and numbered sheets around the house back in the early 90's. I remember even during the 2000's fond memories retold of trying to break the system to have warriors built only for killing blows and if not death became them.
I myself am working on making my own board game, and while I love video games I crave the physical items still and it's a reason why I was so happy to see this still exists and to try it out.
I'm sure you'll see me asking goofy questions as it's all a bit overwhelming at first but looking forward to it!
Welcome back! Two suggestions ...
On the Discord server there is a #Duelmasters discussion.
Much more active is a non-judgmental (mostly!) Chatzy discussion about the game ...

Welcome to the game! Hope you stick out the early frustrations and hang in there. Bring you team on in to Sunset dm21 when you finish ten rounds in the training arena!
There are tons of links, threads and info on this site and terrablood's to answer most questions you have, and almost anybody is willing to offer advice here too if you can't find the answers elsewhere. Good luck!
