This fell into my lap recently. Wondering what the brain trust would do with this.
6-9-3-17-17-15-17 AB to compensate for the little damage,
or
11-10-3-17-15-15-13 LU and train hope for Normal damage & train ST until you get it.
Thoughts?

I would go:
5-9-3-14-12-15-12 --> 10-9-3-17-17-15-13 SL
One of the few myths that has turned out to be true after examining the data: SLs get slightly more favorable damage roll chances than other styles. While its still very likely to roll Little damage, its less likely than if you went LU.
Also, an unretired and then re-retired manager named The Dealer TC'd Rookies with this setup as a SL years ago.
Those two things would push me towards that style. I could see an argument for slight tweaks to 9 ST/16 SP or 11 ST/12 DF if you wanted to maximize skills or damage chance.

I went 11-9-3-17-17-15-12 SL with it. Now sitting at 4 FE and 13(2)-9-3-17-17-15-12 and still little damage. I would certainly err on the 11 ST side and pass on the 13 DF.
Good luck!

Retired that guy as a SL after an unremarkable basic career. Never could train out of Little damage:
DEMON MONKEY (54-3249) of GOT BLOOD? (2132) [15-9-1,55,32FE], will fight Freshmen.
He is a slasher with ST=13(2) CN=9 SZ=3 WT=17 WL=17 SP=15 DF=12.
He is right handed, is very intelligent, is incredibly quick and active, can not take a lot
of punishment, is incredibly quick and elusive, does little damage, has a Master in
initiative, has a Master in riposte, has an Advanced Expert in attack, has an Expert in
decisiveness, favors the scimitar, favors a high offensive effort, favors a very low
activity level, and preferentially learns riposte.

Thank you, went the SL route.
OAB, I agree with your data on the damage roll for SL's, I have a good handful that pulled Great with a very small chance of getting it. Hopefully that luck roll transfers to this guy.
