I am returning to the game after 20+ years and while some things are coming back to me, others are still eluding me.
When I played before I seem to remember there being a ceiling for skill learns in basic before you could not improve anymore without training stats but I cannot remember what it is. Also I seem to remember that changing in ADM.
I believe that when you trained stats in basic it took away from your maximum skills that you could learn.
If someone could please refresh my aging memory and/or dispel these misconceptions I would be eternally grateful.

Best of my understanding is...
In Basic:
Each warrior can learn 20 skills in each area.
Some stats give you skills and if you raise the stat before you learn the 20, the warrior has "Burned" those skills towards the 20 skills. (See Skill Stat Charts at http://www.terrablood.com/)
In Primus:
You can learn 5 additional skills in each area.
Burned skills can be relearned while training skills.

This is a great resource for returning players as well:

Since no one has mentioned it yet that I see, you will find a goodly number of managers sitting around talking about Duelmasters in the Chatzy room located here: https://www.chatzy.com/94690149248227
People are very helpful there, particularly for returning managers.
I hadn't seen the Noblish page before but, dang, props to Jorja, Assur, Consortium and whomever else for putting that together. Looks amazing! Kudos!
